Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. The Quran, Hadith, Duas, prayer times, Qibla, Tasbih, the 99 Names, the audio player and the calculators all work with no account at all. An account is only needed to send a question to the scholar and to see the reply.

How do I ask the scholar a question?

In the Manarah app, open the Home tab, scroll to the Community section and tap Ask a Question. You will be asked to sign in. Your question and its answer then appear in the Profile tab under My questions. Answers are given by a qualified scholar and are grounded in the Quran and the authentic Sunnah.

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app, open the Profile tab, tap your name at the top, then choose Delete account. This removes your account and your personal details. You can also email us and we will do it for you.

How do I change the language?

Tap the globe button in the app header. Manarah is available in English, Urdu, Hindi and Spanish.

What is the ambience and echo in the player?

While a recitation plays you can lay a gentle nature sound beneath it — rain, a distant thunderstorm, wind, snow or a flowing stream — and the app takes on that weather's colours. Echo adds a soft reflection behind the voice. Both are optional and can be switched off in the Player tab.

Does audio keep playing when I lock my phone?

On iOS, yes — recitation continues when the app is in the background or the screen is locked.

Is the app free?

Yes. Manarah is free to use and there is nothing to buy inside it.
